Happy Badger Day!

Did you know that badgers have had a tumultuous relationship with humans for centuries? They have been hunted for their pelts, baited, and were even used as a food source for a time by Native American and European colonists and during World War II in Britain.

Badgers were used to predict the length of winter in Europe.

Badgers are nocturnal, small, and rely on a diet of primarily earthworms, insects, and grubs.
