Help the hummingbirds this winter

Writer: intaid4animalsintaid4animals

Please, help the hummingbirds survive in the cold winter

You can feed the hummingbirds by preparing a homemade nectar:

Ingredients: Refined white sugar, water Directions for making safe hummingbird food: Boil water for two minutes, mix one part white sugar to four parts water, allow the mixture to cool before filling feeder. Never use honey, sweeteners, molasses, brown or raw sugar DO NOT ADD ANY RED DYE (This is harmful for them!) Fill your hummingbird feeders with the sugar water and place outside Extra sugar water can be stored in a refrigerator Clean feeders with a solution of one part white vinegar to four parts water about once a week. Change the nectar solution every few days.

Add handwarmers around the feeder, or buy a hummingbird feeder heater at a hardware store to keep them warm
