This year, the UN is bringing together representatives of UN member States, UN System organizations and multilateral environmental agreements, civil society, and the private sector for a series of discussions along the theme of "Forests and Livelihoods: Sustaining People and Planet".
They will highlight the experiences and knowledge of of Indigenous Peoples and local communities whose livelihoods rely on forests and wildlife, and who have a long history of managing and sustainably using forest ecosystems.

Our sister NGO CEWS will celebrate WWD 21, in a series of lectures and presentations about animal conservation and wildlife, organized by the Alexandria Turtle and Wildlife Rescue Team.
